Well, looking backwards and thinking what else I could blog about, I had to write this up! :) We don't celebrate Valentines Day too heavily at my house. I believe it's more of a Hallmark holiday than anything and that we should those we love how much we care all the time, not one specific day per year. However, we do engage in traditions like cards and candy-- and THIS YEAR-- Kelly surprised us both! We LOVE Build A Bear at our house. Kaileigh has a few at her dad's and Snowflake is the special pup at our home. We like to change her clothes and hair bows, she has some pups she can carry in her mouth and I have wanted one pretty bad! I realize I don't NEED one but I just love them! We made one with Aunt Emily for her 16th birthday last year and it was so fun! Well, Kelly went on Valentine's Day and made me my own Build a Bear whom I lovingly named Ruby....
I WISH I could have been a fly on the wall watching my serious, scientific minded boyfriend dressing this bear. He picked her out not only a dress and leggings, but underwear, bows, shoes and an 'I love you' heart :) How sweet is that??! I just love her and have even cuddled up holding her while watching movies and going to bed a few nights :) Everyone should own one! :) Kaileigh and Willie got matching Baby Shrek dolls and both enjoyed those as well!
So... for Easter, Kai & I returned the favor. We built him his very own boxer who arrived in the mail dressed in a Kansas City Royals t-shirt and a Pittsburg Steelers terrible towel. I still need to get a picture of Steeler...but he looks just like Willie!! And how much fun to make them-- if you've never been-- pull the kid in you out for a night and go make one! It's not only a great gift but would even be a fun date night!
