Wow! It's been almost a month since I blogged-- and so much goes on in my life! :)
Well, I'll have to catch up other things later but TODAY IS MY 30th BIRTHDAY! Bye Bye 20's and welcome 30's! And what a great year it's starting out with!
I want to blog about all of the wonderful things in my life..... (in no particular order)
* Kaileigh of course! Continues to entertain & bless my life every day!
* Kelly and our upcoming nuptials! I'm so glad I'm with someone so down to earth and that knows how to take care of me & make me happy! (And hopefully I do the same for him!!)
* Health-- just got a clean bill of health from my Dr last week! Praise God!
* A job.... I don't even know what my "Dream job" would be anymore, but I like the people I work with, I've built great friendships and I'm getting paid-- all good :)
* Great friends! Who are there to listen, laugh & cry with me-- and we all know my 20's were FULL of those ups and downs! I wouldn't have made it through the last 10 years without these shoulders to cry on!!
* My parents-- although we may not alwasy see eye to eye they are ALWAYS there loving me unconditionally and digging me out of trouble (hopefully no more of that!!)
* My brother & his wife and little Nathaniel who is baking as we speak! I'm so glad Tom and I developed a good relationship in our 20's (vs childhood where we couldn't stand eachother) and he married this great woman who I get to add as a sister!!
* My little sister Emily who amazes me when I look back that I left when she was 5 and now is all grown up with "grown up issues" (kinda...), relationships and is going off to college!!
* My car-- ok- cheesy, but I love my Honda Pilot-- I'm so glad I got it! :) PARTY BUS! hahaha
* Scrapbooking, blogging...although I procrastinate, I love freezing these great memories in time! Thank God for whoever invented digital cameras!!
* Spring time flowers....and just flowers in general-- one of the goals on my dream board is to always have fresh cut flowers in my home :)
* Great skin... haha... I just had to put that on there, but I love my skin.... maybe it will last like this through my 30's?? Well-- good thing I'm appreciating it now at least!
* Taebo-- I'm not sure I can keep going after my trial 3 months runs out but thank you Jackie for turning me on to this! I forgot how much I miss & love Taebo!!
* My puppies! How could I forget sweet Willie & Honey and all their wet kisses & cuddles
* Chic flics-- I just LOVE them-- there are too many to list but I just saw "Confessions of a Shopaholic" for the 2nd time!! How cute....
* Looking at the mountains wherever I am-- one of my favorite parts of living in Denver!
* Snow...snow men, snow tubing, snowball fights-- just not driving in it...but I love snow!
* Mexican & Italian food--- Like Piccolo's which has BOTH!
* Driving through the mountains-- Beautiful
* Many many phone calls and messages from friends wishing sweet birthday wishes!
* Shoes...and purses....I love shoes & purses...
* ICECREAM! I'm a big sucker for Icecream!! Yummy!
* Good music-- good in my book meaning music I can sing too and "dance" too (aka shake my body around like a crazy girl on crack!)
I'm sure I could keep going but as I've been in this reflective mode in 2009 it's become clear to me that I've made mistakes over the last 10 years, I've learned from (most of) those mistakes and become a better & stronger person for it. I didn't reach many of the goals by 30 that I had set for myself at 22, but really-- who does? Life changes. And it keeps changing. And it keeps getting better and I'm HAPPY! :) YAY! I didn't have many rollercoaster experiences in highschool and my teen years. My 20's is when that happened.... and look where I am now! :)
On the other hand, some amazing experiences came out of my 20's as well! I lived in California and got to experience miliary family life, the beach, great friends & great food. Kaileigh of course! I have become even more independent than I was before (is that good...????) I have enhanced my career and been fortunate for the opportunities in my life.
I am so happy to be alive and so very blessed and can't wait to see what the next 10 years will hold! Some goals, hopes and dreams I have are:
* to savor the memories one at a time and live life for the moments I'm in
* to be healthy & fit-- hotter in my 30' s than in my 20's!
* to be financially free-- no more payday stress
* to own a cabin of some sort out in Ouray, Co
* to have fresh cut flowers weekly in my home
* to be a great mom
* to be a great wife
* to be a great friend
* to be a Highly Successful Woman (self-aware, authentic, actively creative, integrity & connect with others)
* to take an Alaskan Cruise
* to go to Disney World with my whole family
* to visit some remote beach vacation spot....wherever, I'm not picky!
Thank you for all the Birthday wishes & bring on the next 10 years! (slowly please...)
