First Snow....Magical??

I can't sleep and have been up since 3:30am-- maybe because I have a New Kids On the Block concert to go to tonight (more to come on that later!) and maybe for no reason at all. However, I've turned on the 5am news and SNOW is finally coming my way! If we hadn't gotten snow today then we'd have set a new record for the latest snow. In my 4 years in the Denver Metro Area, it has snowed by Halloween each year until now. I'm not complaining-- it can be messy, cause long commutes to work etc... BUT-- there is something magical about the snow! Especially the FIRST snow!

Kaileigh has been telling me how she can't WAIT to go play in the snow. We've gotten her boots and snowpants ready-- and we'll have to be sure to take a Tubing/Sledding trip again this year higher up into the mountains where there is TONS of snow!

With all the negativity and stress surrounding me (co-workers losing jobs, friends losing jobs, friends losing their homes, uncertainty about the market and economy...you know--we all hear it non-stop!) it will be so peaceful to see a pretty blanket of snow! I'm not sure if we will get that beautiful blanket today, but there is something peaceful and refreshing about the purity of white covering the ground! I've written before about the amazing rainbows we can enjoy around August in Denver..but the snow-- just one more amazing blessing!

I know they say, "God blessed Texas..." but I think that title was premature.... God certainly has blessed Colorado!! :)

Happy Friday!
