1st Day in Disney

Well our first day in Disney was extremely eventful! Within the first few minutes of entering our hotel, who should appear?? Minnie Mouse!! When she heard it was Kaileigh's birthday (well that's what we were here for!) they swept her away for special photos and a special gift! They gave her an autograph book with a special first message wishing her a Happy 6th Birthday. Then Minnie whispered in a cast member's ear and the cast member asked us to please just wait a few minutes because Minnie had a special surprise for Kaileigh. We waited and along came Daisy Duck!! What great pictures before we had even stepped into the park!

Kaileigh enjoyed wearing her special birthday pin and crown. She recieved MANY birthday wishes, hugs and kisses from everyone from characters, to cast members, to guests! She is VERY loved!!

After many exciting signatures from Goofy, Donald, Ariel, The Fairy Godmother, Jasmine, Belle.... our autograph book was gone! It seemed-- as 6 yr olds often do- that Kai had put it down to play with a Prince's sword and when we turned around it was gone! :( There were tears...but Kaileigh bravely believed that since I had already filled out the name, phone # and address, "some little kids mom and dad will see that they stole my book and make them give it back". Well right as we were getting ready to end our day, my phone rang and the book was being returned to Guest Services-- and of course RIGHT AFTER I bought a different autograph book so we'd have it for the rest of the time, just in case.... Oh well- the most important part is we got the book back! Yeah!!

Although we were all exhausted and our feet are quite sore, it was a fun first day! We're off to sleep now, to dream about magical wonders and prepare for another exciting day tomorrow!

(And yes, Goofy is trying to win me over Kelly and propose! hahaha)
