A friend's husband blogged not too long ago about meeting his heroes...
I can't say I really have any "heroes". I have lots of people I respect and would love to learn from...but today I met someone who I would put on the "Potentially my Hero" list.
Her name is Shellie Blanks Cimarosti and she is the daughter of Billy Blanks- creator of Tae Bo.
I LOVE TAE BO!
I have done Taebo on video at other stages in my life, - watching Shellie right there behind Billy in each and every video, but recently I have had the privilege of participating in a series of Taebo classes here in the Denver area (http://www.5280fit.com/). And today, right after turning 30, I did what I recall as the hardest workout of my life! It was a class lasting close to 2 hours of Taebo Extreme instructed by Shellie herself!
Not only did she make me (and like 100 other people!!) push their bodies to the MAX, but she had a motivational speech a the end and then stayed around to take some pictures and sign autographs. I didn't think I'd like having my picture taken after a workout like that but I did the best I could to dry out my hair and I'm actually pretty happy with how it turned out.
What an AWESOME start to my day! I wish I could train under her every day!

PS- and yes!! She loves NKOTB and is wearing the "Cover Girl" tank top!

I didnt know she was Billy Blanks daughter! I have a ton of those videos and she's the one always doing the best. I love her! She's awesome
