New Upgrades!

I'm SO excited! We FINALLY bought new carpet for our house-- and with that project came others as well! Kelly knocked out a big section of our living room wall, had it all repaired and tore down the existing tile on the fireplace surround and replaced that as well! It's amazing how different it all looks! We still have more to do as far as decorating, but wow-- that carpet was SO disgusting- I can't even tell you how much cleaner I feel my house is now!

I will upload pictures soon, but I was thinking...isn't it interesting how the smallest changes can make such an impact on how we feel?

For instance, I recently started leading a small group of boys at the Awana program at church. I was signing Kaileigh up but there was a wait list so I volunteered (I had no idea what I was volunteering for) and I have been put with the sweetest little boys in the world! They're so smiley and eager to please-- they have a lot of energy but nothing I can't handle :) I didn't realize how much I missed being involved like this with children's programs. And same thing with Kaileigh's soccer team. I missed the first practice and no one had volunteered to be the Team Mom this season so of course I did! I love that kind of stuff! I just feel more "complete" and I'm glad I'm making changes in my life to fill the gaps that are there.
I am fully appreciative of my job- especially in an economy like this one- but for the time it takes up there are still many voids that remain unfilled. These 2 "projects" have helped fill that void.

I recently came across some "journaling" I had done many years ago--- it's just always interesting to reflect backwards to where you were and compare it to where you are! Things have changed drastically over the last six years for me and as I SLOWLY approach 30, I am so blessed & glad I have phenomenal things in my life to be thankful for!!
